Pass the paper tipped end of a Keto stick through your stream of urine twice a day – before breakfast and before dinner. The test you do before breakfast will let you know if last nights dinner kept you in ketosis and the test before dinner will let you know that your food throughout the day has kept you in ketosis.
You should aim to be in the first or second color on the results panel. This will indicate if you are in trace or mild ketosis, which is ideal for safe and sustainable fat burning. If you find your result is higher than that please eat a piece of low glycaemic index fruit and retest again in 30 minutes to make sure you are within the healthy range.
Staying in ketosis takes practice, and there will be days when despite your best efforts something unexpected will make its way into your diet and knock you out of ketosis. The keto sticks help you monitor your progress and keep motivated – when your keto stick indicates a positive result you are actively burning fat and losing weight.
